STEM Security Trauma Emergency Medics Suite

STEM [Security Trauma Emergency Medics] is a progressive suite of qualifications that sit in sector 1.3: Health and Social Care. The qualifications in this suite are regulated by Ofqual and solely awarded by Transcend.

The qualifications in this suite are developed in collaboration with the British Training Board [BTB].Due to the nature of the qualifications, they are delivered by the BTB licenced medical education specialists.

The British Armed Forces recognise the BTB as an independent expert education provider dedicated to supporting those in service, veterans, public servants, and their families throughout their careers and beyond.

The suite is comprised of the following qualifications:

Transcend Level 3 Award for Security Trauma Emergency Medics [STEM]

Transcend Level 4 Award for Security Trauma Emergency Medics [STEM]

Transcend Level 5 Award for Security Trauma Emergency Medics [STEM]

These qualifications are relevant to the BTB community of military professionals, veterans and public servants. It is for those with emergency first aid experience who aspire to gain and retain employment as a security operative. Learners will develop knowledge, skills and behaviors required to administer emergency first aid [level 3], respond to medical trauma [level4] and for strategic leaders in a security operation the prevention and management of a medical crisis.

This suite is integral to the BTB Portfolio. This is a pioneering portfolio of qualification suites developed specifically to align to the revolutionary BTB Military Skills Translator Framework. This Portfolio uniquely enables our service men, women, and veterans to achieve qualifications recognised by civilian employers. The intent is to enable those that have served our country with pride to continue to thrive as they transition into the civilian community.
